Angeles To Manila – One Long Day
Waking up on my last day here, now leaving for Manila and then off to Dumaguete. Oatmeal for breakfast. Off to SM mall. I’m not happy with my new camera and its shakiness so I’m testing different stabilizing walking/holding styles. I hit up Healthy Options for my Apple Cider Vinegar because I fear there will be none in Dumaguete.
Robi takes me to his new place to check it out. He’s moving out of our love nest since I’m skipping town. The AC guys come to install his new air conditioner, and then I head to the bus terminal. I reach Cubao and get to my hotel, the Eurotel. Finally I’ve arrived and I’m about to jizz my pants due to the fact that I’m about to feed myself Taco Bell.
I hit up the Gateway Mall and enjoy. I also spot Burger King and Wendy’s and I’m a little upset that I can’t fit it all in before I leave. Back to the hotel, and then back out to Taco Bell again – yes, I’m insane, I know. I watch the movie Source Code and then head back to the hotel to get ready for tomorrow.
Preparing to Leave Angeles City, Philippines
Last full day in Angeles City Philippines before heading off to Dumaguete. Say goodbye to Robi, Fields Avenue, Crazy Burrito, and all the other familiar sights, sounds and smells. It’s time to explore the rest of this beautiful country!
Last minute laundry time. Back at the apartment and eating Hormel meals, then off to SM. I hit up the video arcade called Quantum in SM Clark, and then pick up some lasagna for a change at Sbarro. Off to 7-11, scoping out some liquor.
Back at the apartment, I end up shaving my back to prep for Dumaguete. And then get to packing the rest of my things.
Wild Orchid Beauty Pageant Part 4
Here we are with the continuation (and last in the series) of the Wild Orchid Beauty Pageant. It’s the championship match. I believe the grand prize, or total prizes, is valued at 40,000 pesos. That’s no chump change in the Philippines. So the championship match is Dollhouse against Crystal Palace.
The most vicious girl of the entire tournament comes from Dollhouse group. She puts so much intensity into this tug-o-war that it captures the hearts of millions worldwide. Her stance. Her grip. Her ferocity. But she slips up and loses her grip and footing. Crystal Palace wins and celebrates. Bar girls going wild.
The competition has made Robi and me hungry. We head off to the Wobbly Boot Bar. They’ve got the best burgers in town, not including TGIF‘s imported monster. Thick and juicy at a great price. Check them out, right next to the Eruption’s Bar. In the Wobbly Boot I spot a map of the Philippines and we take a look at where my future travels will be taking me – Dumaguete.
Next up is a private pool party at the Dollhouse Hotel. Robi and I got invited so we head on out. Private means just that, so I didn’t really film the party, but I did get some interesting and most likely rare shots of a bird’s eye view of Field’s avenue.
Preparing to Leave Angeles City
Getting my laundry ready to be cleaned since I will be leaving for Dumaguete soon. I head to the laundry shop, take care of business, and then see a fake Zagu company called Zacobi. If you know what a milk tea is, they sell those things. Quite tasty if done right. Off to 7-11 for a pre-gym snack. What do I buy? Kit Kat balls or something similar.
I hit the gym and then off to Puregold for food. Some so yummy kaya boneless bangus is on the menu. I love the way they marinate it, already ready to cook. Grapes are too damn expensive in the Philippines. I pick up a handful of Dole big dick bananas, Century Light Tuna, and some chicken nuggets that don’t have any nutrition facts on the box. Scary. Oh yea, I pick up a Hormel Compleats, my shitty weakness. Off to the carinderia for some rice and then back home to feast.
